Marion Kathleen Parsons brings 15 years of battle-tested experience to family law.
After earning her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law, she passed both the North Carolina (2010) and Oregon (2011) bar exams and is additionally licensed to practice in the U.S. District for the Western District of North Carolina and Eastern Band of Cherokee Tribal Court.
She is a certified North Carolina Family Law Specialist and in recognition of her expertise and contributions to the field, Marion was selected as a Fellow with the prestigious American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She has been nominated by Super Lawyers Rising Stars for six (6) consecutive years.
During her time at Wake Forest University School of Law, Ms. Parsons was a member of the American Association of Justice (“AAJ”) Trial Team, where she focused on expert examination and partnered with Wake Baptist Hospital for training. After graduation, she continued to share her knowledge and skills by co-coaching her own trial team. She continues to volunteer in Western North Carolina with high school mock trial.
While Ms. Parsons practices in all family law areas, her focus is complex custody cases and the intersection of abuse allegations, child protective services, and child custody. She has served as a parent defense attorney for almost her entire career and has also represented the Department of Social Services.
A former ballet student and collegiate equestrian, she still enjoys running and Parsons Law proudly sponsors local athletic sports teams and event for youth and adults. Her favorite downtime companions? Her dogs Titan and Odin, who generally rank above humans in her book.
